Eric is the Chief Commercial Officer for Georgetown and responsible for developing and implementing a forward-looking, fully integrated business and marketing plan that delivers strong revenue and profit growth across all commercial business lines to include collegiate athletics and university-wide corporate relationships.

Eric joined Georgetown University in January 2024 after twenty-five plus years of experience in creating, building and cultivating commercial businesses and group licensing programs for sports properties, developing integrated marketing partnerships for iconic brands, and launching industry changing products that redefined the sports media, technology, sports betting and digital collectibles sectors.

Eric built Zebra Technologies’ sports vertical that developed the NFL player and ball tracking solution producing Next Generation Statistics (NGS); which was recognized with the 2015 Sports Business Journal Best in Technology Award. At Group M, a division of WPP, he created the business solutions group that provided strategic consulting, research and insights to key clients such as Accenture, Chevron, Citi, Marriott, and Volkswagen. He founded and built a strategic consulting and activation agency that created integrated marketing solutions for clients that included Bank of America, MasterCard (U.S. and Canada), NIKE and Under Armour; highlighted by the introduction of the MLB Extra Base and NFL Extra Points program and affinity banking solution. Finally, as a Director at the NFL, he transformed the NFL’s on-field sponsorship and licensing business, and directed the marketing and licensing aspects of NFL 75th Anniversary program for which NFL Properties received 1994 Advertising Age Promotional Marketer of the Year award.

A graduate of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (MBA ’93) and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (BS ’86 in Electrical Engineering), Eric is also a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Gulf War and achieved the rank of Captain in his career. He has been awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal. A native Westport, CT, Eric and his wife Jennifer have three children.
