Becci Menghini currently serves as interim Vice President for Human Resources and
Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, she is committed to serving the
employees of the university by growing the effectiveness of HR service delivery and
helping drive strategic decisions with people in mind. Becci is a strategy, human
resources, and operations leader with more than thirty years of higher education
experience.
Prior to coming to Georgetown, Becci served as Vice Chancellor for Human
Resources and Equal Opportunity and Compliance at the University of North
Carolina-Chapel Hill for over five years. In this role, she was responsible for leading
a team of 150, overseeing the strategic, functional, and operational transformation
of the workforce, establishing and upholding equitable policies, and guiding cultural
change to benefit the university.
Becci also served as the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor in the Division of
Workforce Strategy, Equity and Engagement at UNC-Chapel Hill for just under five
years, and as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Chancellor at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison for just over six years. Earlier in her career, she held roles at the
University of North Carolina at Greensboro and at the Wisconsin Alumni
Association.
Becci has a Bachelor of Science degree from Dickinson College, a Master’s degree in
Higher Education Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an
Ed.D. in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
