Ayana Thomas

Ayana Thomas, Ed.D., oversees the integration of sustainable business operations into the day-to-day activities of the campus community. Through strategic partnerships and planning with campus stakeholders, the Office of Sustainability mobilizes sustainable ways of being and enhances practices to advance Georgetown toward a more sustainable future. Dr. Thomas also serves as an adjunct lecturer in the Earth Commons Institute.

Prior to joining Georgetown, Dr. Thomas led business optimization and strategic initiatives in campus operations at The George Washington University for 12 years. She holds a doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning (GW), and degrees in Religious Studies and Counseling (Howard University), Organizational Leadership and Learning (GW), and Organizational Communication (Xavier University).
