Michelle Shwimer

Michelle Shwimer serves as the Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer by managing the daily and travel schedules for the COO along with handling special projects.  She works with the offices reporting to the COO to help manage meetings and to facilitate communication along with offices across the entire University and with the external community including the DC Government.

Prior to Georgetown University, Michelle served as the Director of Scheduling for the US Secretary of Commerce from 2012 to 2015 and oversaw the daily schedule along with assisting in travel and special events for the Secretary.  From 2001 to 2012, Michelle worked as a scheduler in the US Senate and as a scheduler/office manager in the US House of Representatives.

Michelle holds a BA in political science from The George Washington University.
