Christoper M. Culley serves as Georgetown’s Vice President for Enterprise Initiatives within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer.

Chris leads catalytic operational initiatives that span departments inside and outside the COO organization. Taking a broad view of business and industry to anticipate and plan for the future, his work defines where, how and what capabilities and management systems are required to meet the University’s goals, and organizes key internal and external stakeholders to implement solutions.

Chris joined Georgetown from The Ohio State University where he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Senior Advisor to the President. He was also an assistant attorney general for the state of Ohio, coordinating assignments with the attorney general’s staff, as well as the university’s internal and external counsel. In his role at OSU he managed business partnership arrangements, community redevelopment projects, university affiliates, and select initiatives across a wide spectrum of university interests.

He first joined Ohio State as deputy general counsel in February 1998. In that position he was primarily responsible for supervising litigation and working closely with the Education Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, where he had worked prior to joining the university.

He earned his bachelor’s degree at The Ohio State University in 1976 and earned his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law.
